Upgrade for Aurora ND

Aurora ND - a highly successful and acclaimed Voluntary Organisation - and longest standing user of our Domestic Abuse System within Caseworks received a full upgrade in February 2021. Aurora operates a 24/7 service to the people it provides a life-and-death service to, so the upgrade had to take place speedily on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Everything went according to plan. A dramatically enhanced system went live within a couple of hours.

The benefits which the 2021 upgrade provided for Aurora were as follows:-

  • Works with all browsers, overcoming the incompatibilities between the original Internet Explorer, and the modern browsers - Edge and Chrome.

  • Provides click buttons where their previous system used “rollover”. Click buttons allows it to work on touch sensitive devices - ipads etc

  • Offers a range of additional security features with new Login Screen, encrypted passwords, document paths and navigation controls

  • Offers integrated access to a National Address Database, to pick up those addresses not already in the gazetteer.

  • Allows users to step through the cases in their caseload / recent search without returning to the caseload or search screen

  • Can cope with creating hard copy listings of extremely long cases and can bundle up into a PDF or ZIP all uploaded documents in a case

  • Allows users to control the locking and unlocking of their account to a specific IP address for increased security

  • Suspends a user profile after three failed attempts at logging in - something which can be released by the Aurora Administrator

  • Gives users one-click access to their last case / case page when they log in next

  • Includes the latest version of the Caseworks Correspondence facility, with easily created Word Document templates and PDF / DOCX / EMail output

Amy of these enhancements does not make for interesting images! But the UK Address search facility is shown here. This facility has a small cost per transaction, but it is a cost which HUBSolutions has decided to carry and not pass on to customers in their maintenance agreement.
